man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Deuteronomy 8:3

he's getting bigger
We spent Saturday with our Sunday school class at a beautiful park up in the hill country.
Sam got to pose next to the dinosaur tracks next to the creek.
Surprise! It's a baby Sam!
He still does sleep sometimes . . .
These little toes crack me up. I know that he's really relaxed when he isn't holding them up like this:

Easter Weekend came and went

A few new ones
He is really, really trying hard to stand up at his activity table. He loves it!
Yes, the tongue . . . still.

Right now, the sippy cup is just a toy. We'll see what he thinks when I put some water in there sometime soon.
Thanks to Aunt Grace for these pictures and for a visit. It was too short, but circumstances demanded that. Come back soon!

And here lately . . .
I had to go back a bit since I haven't put up pictures in ages. This is from the end of January. He's had a growth spurt since then and is taller and just a tad leaner. But he still has his baby fat. :)
We still manage to squeeze him into the bumbo. This is his favorite pose: legs and arms out and slightly trembling. Sometimes he says "oooo" while he's doing it. It means he wants something, which is a very general request.
This was right at six months; I was trying to get some good photos, but he wouldn't smile for me.
I think they're good anyway. Check out those cheeks!
In February, Sam took his first plane flight. He did very well: minimal fussing and no other passengers complained! He actually made a lot of friends going and coming.
Getting to spend some time with his Aunt Ames for the first time since he was five weeks old!
He loves sticking that tongue out.
Hanging out with cousin Pearce.

Pearce and Sam really hit it off. Pearce liked trying to sit as close to Sam as possible, which sometimes meant trying to sit in his lap. Sweet boys! I can't wait to get them together again.
