I saw a sign at the Baptist church: Jesus lives; so can you.

I was struck by how great a discrepancy exists between the seeingly insignificant placement of the subject and object. Compare the order of the sentence as written on the sign:

Jesus lives; so can you (live)

to what I think it should say:
Jesus lives; so you can (live).

Who says grammar doesn't matter??? The placement of "YOU" in the first sentence puts all the power of living in you! It's like saying, "If Trey can waste time, I can waste time, too." It becomes a matter of following example rather than being enabled.

Other news: I like cookbooks.
