I have gone in and out of nesting phases this whole pregnancy. I'm currently in a sort of cleaning phase, so my house has been looking a bit nicer than usual (except the computer table; it's where I put all the paper I don't want to sort through, much to Trey's chagrin). Today I cleaned the coffee maker (after noticing a sentence on the inside of the water reservoir that said to clean the coffee maker monthly). I pulled out the manual just to make sure I did everything right. In glancing over the troubleshooting section I noticed this:
Problem: The coffeemaker only brews water
Possible cause: There are no coffee grounds in the filter basket.
Solution: Add the desired amount of coffee to the filter.
Wow.

I was too stunned by that to even laugh.
Hi Hilary!
Thanks--I'm excited to find another pilgrim on the nourishing journey--have you read the Sally Fallon book? I am really enjoying it and glad that Tuan is on board. We are limited because of camp food--but are trying to eat nourishing on the weekends and on our off time. We'll have to compare notes and recipes!

oh yay, i love stuff like that. don't know if you saw, but this was my FB status the other day:
two funniest things I've read today: 1st, from a recipe, "add...1/2 c. brandy and IGNITE CAREFULLY WITH A MATCH." (and this is where I said 'veto' to trying the recipe)... and 2nd, from our camera manual, "when operating the diopter adjustment control..., BE CAREFUL NOT TO PUT YOUR FINGERS OR FINGERNAILS IN YOUR EYE." Oh, I love it when stuff is funny.
