Growing and grown?

Little Toot's monthly check-up was today. Momma has gained a reasonable amount of weight. Little Toot's heartbeat is still strong. Apparently LT likes a lot of room, though. My fundus was at the height for 18 or 20 weeks not 15 (which is how far along we are). No other little heartbeats, though, so LT is taking all that space for herself (or is it himself?). Since I haven't felt the little fluttery feelings of baby movement yet, the NM said we were just 15 weeks.

I was wondering how LT could be older than he/she actually is, though. There is a specific point before which LT could not have lived, and I didn't understand how the size of my uterus could somehow nullify that immovable timeline.

Anyway, we'll have one more check up in Mississippi (and will get to see LT in person! sort of) before the move to Texas.

Speaking of weight gain, I think LT is hungry. I'm going to go get food.

I am quite familiar with "measuring big". Thomas was almost 7 lbs at 36 weeks!!! He and Nathan both measured big my entire pregnancy. Glad you are feeling good.

Hilary, thank you for your comment. It was right on. I (selfishly) love it when my friends know me! :) Fellowship and community remains a precious blessing to me - even when I find it on a blog. :)

All of my babies measured big early on and they were big when they arrived too! You better tell the doctor there are big babies in your husby's family.

Trey was delivered at 38 weeks and was 8'12". Zack was on time give or take a day and weighed 9'121/2". Grace was on time and weighed 9'8".

Well, we'll have to see how big the baby is in a few weeks, though I hear sonograms are inaccurate for guessing weight/age after 13 weeks gestation or so. That was just my uterus. I still haven't felt the baby, so I think s/he just likes a really big swimming pool at this point!
