Moving on

Trey did take down the tree. But it's still lying out next to the trash can. I don't think the trash people want it. I wonder how we're going to get rid of it.

Trey's in class this week. I'm munching on some M&M's from Kelley.

The Christmas colors had to go.

Work is piled up on my desk. I'm glad there's plenty to do.

I'm also glad that we are not in a living situation conducive to getting a cute kitty. Because I really want one right now. Maybe if I ever do get a cat, I can teach it how to use the people potty. I remember reading about cats doing that. But I wonder if you can really teach them how to flush. Ew.

I've started using my mixers. Bread, cookies, waffles, muffins. Mmm.

Trey has a chest of drawers for his mountains of clothes! I just cleaned it the other day. It looks nice. Thanks, Dad.

The end.

You need a sweet kitty. I know you do. I know that some cats have trouble using litter boxes when they are old b/c their poor joints hurt too much when they step in and out. It seems like using the toilet would be great for a young cat but hard on an old cat.

at this point in my life i am not sure if i will ever personally own a dog. seems like a cat would be a much lower-stress creature to have around

I think that cats have only one purpose and that is to kill rodents. Other than that I think that they are evil and a most reched creature. I mean they have to be if you think about it. Look at what they do to those certian poeple. The "crazy cat lady," for instance. Never of a, crazy dog lady, now do you? This is because cats lack in love toward us humans and when they do seek attention its almost a begrudged chore to them. Now, Im not saying that I would youthanize or ignore the poor stray but I just dont think that they were meant as a conpanion.

Now dogs on the other hand are caring protective lovable and ye a little bit of a hand full but they atleast show emotion and love tends to be their favorite.

I love that cookbook because it has lots of colorful pictures!!! haha :-)
I read about this cat once, when he needed to potty, they let him outside and when he was done, he would jump up and ring the doorbell - seems like that would be easier to teach than flushing... :-)

Well! My cat runs to greet us at the door whenever we come home. She purrs just because she's looking at us. She is hilariously playful, and she sleeps snuggled up to us. Maybe she's part dog, or maybe she's just properly socialized. Maybe the crazy cat ladies are crazy before they get their cats causing their cats to be unfriendly and aloof.

I think cats have a much wider spectrum of personalities than dogs do. You can mostly depend on dogs to have personalities like Yames described above.

April, Sally is an exceptional cat. Trey's family has two cats who are exceptional, too. I have had, in my lifetime, a few cats who were more devilish than pleasant to be around. Maybe socializing from a young age is the key.

as i sit here and listen to the whining of the dog in this house inches away from me through the wall, i think about giving it a "hand full" by punching it in the face.

of course, hilary has had several cats which were very bad, come to think of it. they scratched viciously if you tried to be nice to them
